UVC And Interval International
Missrepresentations, Scam

My husband and I were looking to spend a very relaxing week in PV after having, in the last few years, travelled to Greece, the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe. We really needed to take one vacation where all we would do is R&R for a week. And so we did in October.

As we got off the plane, very aggressive hawkers started to offer us this and that benefit, excursion, dinner, etc; in exchange for attending a time share presentation. We were foolish to accept.

Both my husband and I, prior to the salesman (Teo Franco) uttering a word, explained that we do not like to travel to the same destination over and over and that as a rule, hotel accommodations are the smallest portion of our budget. The salesman thought that this was wonderful because with their program we would be able to travel the world at cut rate hotel and airline prices.

During the presentation, we emphasized the same thoughts over and over again to the salesman. And he kept repeating that this was an excellent program for people like us.

We were going to walk away without purchasing anything as we did not think that the salesman had really made a very compelling presentation. Well, of course he brought his supervisor to talk to us. And boy! Was the supervisor a pushy fellow, he would have said just about anything to get us to buy.

Again we specifically told him that we do not go to the same destinations over and over, rather we like going to different places every time we have the opportunity. Several other times that we mentioned this, the supervisor would put his hand on top of the Interval Int. Catalogue or go thru some pages of it telling us how amazing it would be to go to all this places at a rate of $199.00/week for a hotel studio. At one point he even flipped the pages of the II catalogue and pointed to The Royal Club at Palm-Jumeirah in Dubai and stated that he and his wife were going on vacation and staying there for the amazing price of $199.00/week! To say that we were very excited would be an understatement.

As it is, now that we are organizing our trips for the end of this year and beginning of we have come to realize that this is in no way true. First of all, I have not been able to book anything for the dates that we have available; what good does it do me when I can get amazing rates for days when I am not available.

The rates that I'm quoted for the dates that we are available to go out of town are the same and/or more than what we could get on the internet in one of the discount sites such as hotels.com which would not cost us thousands of dollars to belong to.

This was such a scam, and at a time (as we repeated to Mr. Franco and his supervisor) when we were not planning to get into such a costly investment, which as it turns out, does not suit us at all; not to worry, they added, we could rent our unit at incredible prices and they would take care of it all and send us our money! Per complaints that I have read, this is not quite as easy as stated.

Due to misrepresentation, we now want to have our money returned and get out of this extremely deceiving transaction.

We want the full amount that we have paid as well as the $684.00 1st year maintenance fee refunded and forget about this nightmare!
