Wyndham Resorts Salesman J. Wayne Terry's Rude Tactics
Sleazy salesman insulted my wife and me and used heavy-handed tactics to stall us

We only agreed to hear about "RCI's updates" because there was no tour of timeshares mentioned and I wanted the $50 voucher for attending an hour and 15 minute meeting. Or so we thought! The first saleswoman, Kay, made it clear that there was a tour and that they wanted us to purchase 77,000 points with Wyndham, not RCI, for $8,000. After the time was up, she wanted us to take her book, return the next day and decide. So we did our homework. We can get the points free from friends, or we can buy them on eBay for less than $100 or we can just stay with our RCI week, which is what we decided to do. And thanks to Usa Consumer Complaints.com we went back armed and ready for the next stage of sales pitch. But, when we told Kay our decision to stay with RCI, we never expected the next salesman's tactics. He had to take a "survey". Were all our questions answered by Kay? Yes. Did we want to know more about Wyndham's points? No. Etc, etc. Then he began to divert to extraneous chat, shooting the breeze and wasting our time. At that point my wife very kindly asked him to go on to the fourth question. That's when he gave her a hard look and coldly said, "You are not in charge here." So my wife pointed to the fourth question and asked him to read it. Then he raised his voice and hotly said, "I AM IN CHARGE HERE! NOT YOU!" She turned to me (I have Parkinson's and have a weak voice so I asked her to talk for us) and began to count quietly: "100,000, 200,000, 300,000." When we looked back up at the salesman, he seemed to have changed his tune. He gave us the vouchers and then asked us to sign up for a trial run. Thanks to other reports on this site we knew to say NO! However, my wife asked him his full name because he was so rude to us. It is J. Wayne Terry.

As we left the room, my wife walked ahead of him and me. Mr. Terry ran into a room and met his supervisor coming out the door. I think he missed the fact that I was right behind them, and while my voice is weak, my hearing is excellent. I overheard him tell his supervisor that "she gave me the lip!" We are spending our $50 joyfully in "honor" of J. Wayne Terry, but warn everyone going to Fairfield Glade, TN, to steer clear of him!
