I booked my reservations through Cheap Ticket Travel Care on 12/29/08, for the Palm Plaza Hotel from Feb. 12,09 through 12/19/09. Before booking a Hotel on Daytona Beach I looked at numerous Hotel's and picture's of the rooms.in looking at the different Hotel's; I also looked at the Beach Side Motel, which was around $600-$700 cheaper for the week than the Palm Plaza; it did not have breakfast and the picture of the room was nasty compaired to the Palm Plaza Hotel.
When we arrived at the Palm Plaza Hotel and checked in, the desk clerk gave us our key and said we would walk out the front door, around the side and go into their sister building next door by the swimming pool. The doorman walked us around and to our room the back way. The room was extremely nasty, not at all like the picture on the internet. The floor was sticky, the toilet would not flush completely until you flushed it twice. The tub constantly dripped. They had no canteen or soda machines that worked.
The next morning we had A1A cab to pick us up in front of our Hotel, the Palm Plaza, when he brought us back we ask him to pull next door and let us off. When he pulled up the sign on the front of the Motel had Beach Side. The desk clerk said there was nothing he could do we would have to talk to the owner who would be there Mon. The owner Tom Peets was extremely rude, refused to give me a copy of the receipt, Told me he would do nothing, since I booked this through Cheap Ticket to take it up with them, he then tore the receipt into pieces and threw it into his trash.
