Lack of respect for ticketed passengers with a seat assignment. I purchased a ticket to fly from Albany, NY to Knoxville TN connecting through Detroit. I got to the check in 1 1/2 hours before the flight and was told that I had to be rebooked to connect in Atlanta because the flight was overbooked. How can you have a seat assignment and be "overbooked"? Is it a case of musical chairs-whoever shows up first gets the seat? That is NOT the way to run a business. Ultimately, my flight was canceled out of Atlanta and I had to drive to Knoxville (no reimbursement or compensation offered). Delta and NWA don't speak - like parents in a bad divorce and Pinnacle is the ugly step child stuck in the middle. Some sort of compensation would be appropriate!!
