To be fair the Eldorado was THE place to stay in Reno. This is no longer the case. I know that the economy sucks and time is tight but you should not take it out on your loyal customers.
I have been going to Reno and staying at the Eldorado since 1997. I go at least once every two years. I stayed at the Eldorado for three nights in Feb. Of 2009 but it will be the last time.
For starters when I arrived I found out that the coffee shop is closed three nights a week. Those are the three nights I stayed there hence no place to get a quick meal. Okay, I can deal with that. I ordered room service instead. On my second night I wanted to go to the buffet. I am a gold card member in their slot club. I have a brochier that states I have front of line privileges at the buffet.
When showed up I was informed I had to be a gold plus member. Folks I know it's bad to gamble but I gave this place a lot of money. I think I deserved the privileges I earned from the information I had when I made my reservation. I talked to the manager who was duty at the time but he basically said I was on my own. So be it. I will stay at from now on. Sorry Eldorado. You had your chance.
