I have been staying at Motel6 hotels for awhile and they have the usual cheap hotel issues, but one in particualr remains to be solved and affects a lot of people.
Motel6 resisted internet access fro quite awhile hoping it would go away, or that their clientele don't need it. I have noticed that many times the connection gets so slow that it is useless. THis happens during evenings and afternoons when the network is the busiest. It gets so slow that basic functions like google, or ebay won't even come up. The problem is that IP3 has setup these networks and has not throttled each connection. So some jackass trucker comes in, starts downloading a movie and shuts everyone else off because he is sucking up all the bandwidth. This problem is commonly solved in many other networks by providing a throttling provision in the network design. I'm sure Motel6 and IP3 Networks got together and did a fly by night money maker for both of them without thinking about individual usefulness. Maybe now with these comments and all the money they could potentially be losing, they will decide to improve. Hey, Hindsight is 2020. Why do it right when you can do it over?
