Beware! This company rents units at Oceanwalk in Daytona Beach, Florida. Found them through a google search. They demand you sign an rental agreement and pay upfront but will not address problems when they arise.
The unit I rented Unit 3-214 was in the south tower and supposed to be non-smoking. Important since I have asthma. Upon arrival the place reeked of smoke. Called company and was told it would be taken care of. Had to leave and get another hotel first night. Went back the next day and still nothing had been done.
Finally on 3rd day, I purchased cleaning products and cleaned the place including the dead roaches on the kitchen counter, mold in the frig, mold on shower and shower curtain and yes, I have pictures.
Furthermore the condition of the furniture was horrible. Sofa sagging, scratches all over tables, missing dishware and utensils, broken toys laying around, and holes in towels.
I called the company and asked them to refund my first two nights and the $75 cleaning deposit since I had to clean the place. No response. Contacted American Express to dispute this amount and someone named Lori Bailey turned up and said I had one small issue and it was resolved. Have copy of that too.
This has become a shell game trying to track down the owners. Call center number 866-846-4349 is in Canada and Miami. Fax Number 858-712-1201 is in San Diego. Several email [email protected], [email protected]
I request $256.68 which was for 2 nights plus a $75 cleaning deposit be refunded from the $823.55 I paid.
