On the 12th February, I got a call from Vacation Promotions and they offered my an all-inclusive vacation package for 3 for as much as US$168. They told me I would have 3 years to take my vacation. I paid the fee by mastercard and they told me my contract would come in the mail. I was also told I could return for a refund within 90 days.
I never received the contract, and in the end of March I called Vacation Promotions and requested a refund. They told it would take 45 days. After 45 days, no refund was credited on my mastercard account. I called them and left a message, because there always was an answering machine. A couple of days later, they returned my call and told me that the refund procces is under way and they could not physically accelerate it.in June, when I managed to contact them again, they told me that the refund process had to be reactivated. And they told me I had to wait another 45 days.in August, they told me the refund process is under way. On the 22nd September, they told me the refund has been made, but my mastercard company told me no refund was credited. On the 26th September, I called Vacation Promotions again, and they told me that the refund would not be made because, I qoute, the merchant acount is frozen. (???). I asked when the account had been frozen, they told me eight months ago. So, I paid for the package when their bank account had been already frozen??? They were not able to answer my questions clearly, and said that the best that they could do for me is to mail me the package again.
