I gave Bluegreen Resorts $49 for a special getaway package to be booked in the future. We had intended to use it when friends (who also dropped the $49) returned the following year for their annual visit.
Two months later, Bluegreen sent us a promotional invitation to a sales presentation, upon which they would reimburse us with a $25 gas voucher, among other things. We went, listened, gathered our gas voucher and departed.
Alas, upon trying to book our getaway package for this fall, we were informed that since we had already attended a sales presentation, we would have to wait 15 months before being eligible for the getaway package.
Nowhere in the original contract was this mentioned.
Bluegreen refused to refund the $49.
These people are liars, cheats and stealers. I may not get my $49 back, but I will cause them more than $49 worth of aggravation. BBB and the credit card company is involved. Next up? Consumer affairs, then local commissioners, then congressmen, then senators. All it costs is a piece of paper and a stamp.
