Do not be deceived by vacation packages! They booked us at a place called river terrace resort (which is where you were told to check in at) it is a nasty, old motel that westgate bought to put people up in to save money for their time share. It is a -10 STAR motel. I was tolf by the booking agent that we would be close to the pool and we would be able to walk next door to the in door pool center called black bear which is actually at westgate 5 miles down the road. My two daughters (16&15 yo) couldn't even go to the one and only pool they had open due to some pervert trying to talk to them. They act like you are staying at the resort or next to the westgate so you can use the imenities, but you are not! We had paid for an extra night since we live in florida and it was our summer vacation, and so we moved the tour up a day so we could check out a day early. We were told after the fact that the notes from the resort said we couldn't get the day i paid for refunded. We actually spent 6hrs at the timeshare presentation, signed papers to buy, paid a $200.00 dollar deposit and that night we decided we better wait to buy and we were upset that we spent our vacation in a slum. So the next morning I called the salesman and the resort from the river terrace office and no one would be in until 10:00am per the westgate. So we checked out and got refunded our tax money for the extra night. I called the # to discuss the refund on the extra night and was told it would be given to the supervisor and i would get a call back at my home # but never have. We have called and emailed the westgate resort to ctell them that we are cancelling the buy, they are always on the raod or say they will call back, but never have calle us or emailed me back. So we lost $200.00 on a deposit which was supposedly a recording fee and $80.00 on a nasty room that we didn't stay in and our vacation was ruined.
