Security Travel contacted me saying that my husband had won a free trip to the Bahamas. We only had to pay the registration fees then when we booked the trip we would have to pay some other fees for booking it. Well that is not free.
Once you book send the reg. Fees then they are non refundable once you book the trip the fees to it are non refundable too. Then they tell you about tax fees and docking fees and all sorts of other fees. Be time you pay all the fees you are in it about 1000.00 We paid all the fees then they said we could pay to upgrade our hotel to a centrally located hotel. We did then when we got there we were in a roach hotel. We had bugs in our food that was left on the table for 10 min. The cable went out in the middle of the afternoon and didnt come back on until 3:00 in the am. The travel co. Was closed this was on Thur. Night they have no one on call to help you. They were closed friday, sat. And sun. For the holidays. We decided to out of pocket another hotel even though the roach hotel was paid for and then looked for the cheapest one we could find.
I called them on Monday to let them know we had an awful trip and they said they work 9 hour shifts so they cant be there in the evenings to take phone calls. They said we were just out cause we didnt want to stay in the hotel we paid for. They would not refund us any money on our new hotel. They told me that they would try to get me 60.00 back that they said i paid to upgrade. That was for 3 nights stay. The hotel told me it cost 125.00 to stay there per night.
So basically the company was saying it was 20.00 per night to stay at the hotel cause that's all i get refunded for three nights stay. They were totally unsympathetic to anything i had to say. We were in another country and they were not open or had no one to help us. I will never recommend SECURITY TRAVEL TO ANYONE. They said they were too big to be a member of the better business bureau so i am at their mercy. I got no refund.
