Our son paid $200 in fees to receive "Vouchers" or "Travel Certificates" to take a cruise on Bahama Celebration ship to the Bahamas and to stay at Bell Inn Hotel. The cruise ship and hotel exist and are used daily But the travel agency "5th Avenue Vacations" has a Big Problem!
West Florida's BBB (Better Business Bureau) gives them a D. I checked this morning. I had to hang up because the automated response for this business went on and on... About there bad business practices and all the complaints. It takes time and effort to file these complaints so for every one complaint there are many others!
I called 5th Avenue Vacations and spoke with a Suzanne Schumer. I told her I was afraid to send another $240 in port fees etc by check or money order and then Wait until 30 days before our trip to hear from their "reservationist" about details. There was NO name of travel agent on any brochure included. No instructions of any kind for where to go to get on the ship, no times of departure... She said they'd tell us this After you sent in the $240 in check or money order. Who does this?
They make $ by those who send in initial fees and then never complete the Free Trip because of all the other "fees".
