Initially agreed to a TRIAL period of Travelers Advantage when I booked a room at a Ramada Inn. Was supposed to receive several rebates, but didn't. Called to cancel within the 30 day period, but was promised additional rebates along with an extended trial period if I would reconsider. Again, I didn't receive any of the promised rebates so I called to cancel. This time I was promised a companion airfare coupon for reconsidering. And again, I never received anything except for two charges to my checking account for memberships that were not supposed to start billing for another 30 days. They promise to reverse the charges, but have not.
Travelers Advantage is definitely no ADVANTAGE for the consumer unless you like paying for services that you never receive.
I wish I had checked out complaint prior to agreeing to the Trial Membership, but I was under the impression that the program was through Ramada.
The Connecticut District Attorney has had hundreds of complaints against Trilegiant Corporation.
