Vacation Professionals - Travel To Go If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it's a duck! Buyer Beware!

In March we received an official looking notice with a US Airways heading stating that we had awarded 2 roundtrip airline tickets to any major airport in the continental US with a complimentary 7 day Budget Rent A Car-travel provided by Vacation Professionals. To receive them we were required to attend a sales presentation. We arrived as scheduled and were led into a conference room by a salesman along with other couples and their respective salespeople. Each couple and salesperson were seated at separate tables. After some travel questions the salesmen left and a presenter proceeded over the next hour to tell us the benefits of using Travel to Go of San Diego, California to obtain travel deals all over the world at 4 and 5 star locations at bargain prices. The VIP membership included 4 weeks at resorts and condos at a cost of $8,995 that night only, plus $399 admin fee and a yearly membership fee of $199. They would do their best to get us what we wanted. This was a saleable and transferable asset that friends and family could also use. All vacation arrangements had to be with Travel to Go. At the conclusion, we were taken to a private office by our salesman who again told us how wonderful the membership was and the great benefits of the VIP membership with Travel to Go. Eventually we bought a two week package for a much lesser amount. The next day I discovered thatTravel to Go has an unsatisfactory rating with the California Better Business Bureau due to unresolved complaints and a pattern of complaints. We immediately sent a letter requesting a refund which was denied after 2 weeks of phone calls. We also learned that Travel to Go's BBB membership has been totally revoked. Vacation Professionals completely misrepresented Travel to Go, failed to disclose information and concealed information. The pattern of complaints continues. On3/30/08 there were 53 complaints, on 4/9 there were 54 and a week later 55. Vacation Professionals at that time had 12 in one year. We are trying to withdraw membership and get a refund. Buyer Beware!!!
