This is the letter that i sent to corporate 2x. It still hasn't been answered.
I recently stayed at one of your Microtel hotel. I realized about 2 hours after leaving that i had left some things in my room. I called as soon as i did, all i said was that i had just checked out of my room, gave them the room number and the person on the phone cut me off saying "yes i have something of yours here at the desk" they told me what i was calling about was there, plus told me about a few other things that were left. Arrangements were made, and they said they would ship everything to us. Well that day finally came, and only 1 out of the 3 things they told me they had were in the box.
When i called to resolve the issue i spoke with the different employees they both reconfirmed they knew who i was, and said they remembered seeing my things. I was then told they would have the owner call me back. Well he did, and he was very rude to me. Saying things like "i have 4 million dollars in property what do i need with your stupid 200 dollar shit" (his words not mine) he continues to yell, called me a "crazy lady" and hung up on me. Since that phone call, ive tried to call back and now the employees are lying and changing their stories as if this guy threatened their jobs.
I worked in a hotel for 3 years, and my boss would've died before he let someone get as mad as i am now. I feel like no one is willing to help in this situation. And i just can't believe how i am being treated like the bad guy. I realize the policy, i realize how these
things work. But not when someone tells me they had my things. And now all of sudden its missing. I have tried to be nice about the whole thing, but nothing is getting resolved.
I am trying once again to calm this matter in an adult way. But the owner, and corporate are not acting like adults. I have contacted a lawyer, and will be willing to take the next step if needed.
If you can not help me. Someone can. My question is who. And how do i get in touch.
