Trip from Las Vegas to Manchester UK Via US Airways, 1st Aug flight delayed due to weather in Las Vegas, Toilets on board aircraft over flowed, had to land in Indianapolis, on the way to philidelphia, making me l4 hours late and resulting in missing my conection to Manchester UK.
A vaig offer of accomodation was offered, in a cheap motel in New Jersey, but no food.
Had to wait in Philly airport for over 12 hours the next day for the next flight to Manchester UK. No food offered.
On the homeward bound trip... Flying from Manchester UK to Philidelphia and on to Las Vegas (22nd Aug), you have to recheck your baggage, after customs I put my Lap top in my checked baggage as i was told I could not have more than one Item carry on, Arriving in Las Vegas I notice the locks on my bag was gone and a large rip in the case, on further investigation I find an empty laptop bag, my lap top has been stolen in Phillidelphia, I made a report at the airport, and to local police.
The report copy I was given by the air line US Airways had the wrong name on it, rendering it usless to me and the insurance company, the duplicate boarding passes given to me a proof of travel, had my daughters names from a trip 2 years ago, again useless.
I have tried getting in touch with US airways to no avail, so I left messages with thier Corporate officers, and to their credit I got one phone call back and an offer of a $300.00 voucher to fly with them again, this is not the end...
I am told that they (US Airways) will not cover lap tops stolen whilst in their care as checked baggage.
I intend to get resolution and justice, this whole experience is a nightmare.
