My horror story began on June 17th when I found an ad in the Nassau Guardian I called a lady who works for Royal Bank of Canada on Blake Rd, in Nassau, Bahamas her name is Carla Smith Jackson and her husband's name is Curtis Jackson. I never spoke with her husband. Carla and I signed a one month agreement that commenced on June 18th-July18th. Carla promised to charge me $3300.00 for first month rent and $3500.00 deposit that was to be given back to me upon my departure from her crummy dysfunctional condo unit which is unit 1 at the Paradise Villas. Carla had some missing stair noses on her hardwood flooring and asked me to fix them she claimed she would deduct the $200 dollars off the rent making it $3300.00. She and I signed a contract and initialed it to make this document official. However, on July 13th when I was forcefully thrown out of my condo she refused to honor the $3300.00 she promised to charge me, and stated that her cousin whose photos I have enclosed shows him gluing down the stair noses on the stairs. Carla threw me out before my lease was out and never honored anything she promised. Carla never even gave me a chance to glue down the stair nose pieces which I do not feel should have been my responsibility since I met the pieces missing when I arrived.

Her and her husband are crooks & they will do this again to others if word does not get out bahamians take advantage of there tourist. The whole island sucks and everyone is rude i am now on a campaign to stop people from spending hard earned money in nassau bahamas dump of the world. Carla called me on July 12th around 8.00 P.M. Stating that she knew I was getting ready to move out of her condo and that she had some people that wanted to view the condo at 10.30A.M. Friday July 13th. She proceeded to tell me that she would pay a maid who turned out to be her cousin to come over and clean the place. Friday morning 7.00 A.M. Her maid arrived and she came in and just sat down on the couch and did nothing I thought this was rather strange. Then Carla showed up with her daughter at 8.00 A.M. And she seemed angry and then she proceeded to ask her cousin why she was sitting down and not cleaning the place, her cousin just looked at her. Carla then told me that everything would be fine and that I could leave before the people came. I left so I could go and pick up some things from the store. At 9.00 A.M. Carla called me swearing and cursing at me telling me that I was a d*n filthy pig. She even claimed that I urinated on her lawn this is why she had to spend over $6800.00 to remodel her dump. There were rats and roaches all over the outside by the main dumpster with flies that look like something from an alien show.
Anyway when Carla called she told me she no longer wanted me in her condo, and that her maid had packed my stuff, including my wet laundry and had thrown everything into suitcases and was waiting for me to get my shit out of her place. Two of my suitcases have been ruined by Carla which are worth $250.00. She made me cry and also made me very angry at this point. I told Carla that the place was kept exactly how I had met it.in addition, to this her condo was in desperate need of repair when I got there and she even mentioned this fact to me from the beginning. For $6,800.00 the house had no bed spreads in any of the rooms. I AM PRESENTLY BUILDING A WEBSITE TO SHOW HOW DISGUSTING THE PLACE REALLY IS!!!
Once I got back over to Paradise Island I found a male over there whose name was never given to me, he just mentioned in a haughty voice that I had to leave and that he was her cousin and that Carla instructed them on what to do. He also acted as though he wanted to fight me & my 6 year old daughter. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH YOUR 6 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER.
He demanded me to give him the keys and took the keys from me and tossed my luggage at the door HE ALSO TOLD ME THAT I BETTER NOT HAVE ANY SPARE KEYS. I still came in and was followed around by both her maid and her male cousin whose photos are attached. I asked the maid where my food and pot was and she told me in the garbage can because Carla Jackson had told her to throw all of my junk away. Carla and her two cousins lied to me stating that I had broken the the water faucet in the kitchen but look at the photos you can see that from the very beginning she had problems with her faucet which wiggled constantly and I did tell Carla all about this from the beginning but she never paid any attention to me after she received $6800.00 cash. There was also a foul odor from the beginning under her sink which shows months of neglect now I am blamed for her leaky faucet in the kitchen. To make matters wrost I had to go to the police station at the Grove in Nassau to file a report I sat around for hours and then was told to go to Paradise Island police station who was responsible for taking care of the event. On Friday around 5.00 P.M. I went to Paradise Island police station #242-363-3012, and spoke with Officer Clark who was very nice to me. Officer Clark called Carla explaining the situation to her. Carla then proceeded to tell Officer Clark off she told Officer Clark#2339 that she had committed no crime and did not care she also told Officer Clark that she was not going to come in she went on and on until Sargeant Newbold a Senior Officer got involved and took the call. Carla then proceeded to lie on me and tell Mr. Newbold that she did not force me out of the condo. Sargent Newbold asked her what was her intent and also asked her if I could get back in the condo she lied to him telling him that she had to contact her cousin for the key and that she was coming to bring the key I waited from 5.: 00P.M.-9:45P.M. No Carla. I told the officers that she was nothing but a liar. I then left and was told to come back the next morning so I had to sleep in my rental car with all my luggage and my 6 year old daughter and friend. THIS IS TERRIBLE
The story only gets wrost not to mention I had no where to take a bath or very little money to eat on since this JERK had thrown out all of my groceries and stolen my money. She should have been arrested on the spot for theft! The police took so long just to help me! I have an official police report to verify my story.
on saturday i went to the police station 7.00 A.M.in the morning Corporal #2460 Williams was there. Corporal Gator and Corporal Williams called Carla and told her that she needed to come in and resolve the matter and see to it that I was placed back in the condo. Carla being the liar she is then proceeded to tell the officers that she would be by to get a me a hotel room because her condo was under construction and that she did not want me back in there at all. So she came in around 11.00A.M. With the most haughty attitude I have ever seen she told Officer Williams that she would find a hotel for me something crummy of course because she was not going to spend more than $60.00. She was so bold to say that she only came in because the officers kept nagging her and calling her. What A NASTY WOMAN HER ATTITUDE ALONE CAN KILL THE WHOLE TOURISM MARKET!
She promised again that she would get me a place, at Grand Central hotel which is totally unacceptable; since the condo was already paid for and my lease was not even up. Not to mention that Carla still owed me $4500.00 at this point. I waited patiently of course the liar never showed up. So finally Officer Williams allowed Corporal Hepburn and another officer to accompany me over at Paradise Villas to get back in. Her bully cousin was there he had told me that he would beat me up if I came in before. But when the cops came he still had an attitude not wanting to leave. So Corporal Hepburn made him leave and told him he or Carla was caught on the premises trespassing that they would be thrown in jail. Carla talked with the Officer of course at this time and she ran on with her usual lies. Good thing Officer Hepburn told her that I had rights and that she had over stepped her boundries. She claimed at this point that I still had no right in the place. Both Officers that was over there can attest that there was no damages whatsoever done to her place by me and there was no construction going on. Her cousin was set up to be a body guard to beat me up with my daughter and friend if I dared to enter the dwelling he even told me so and was very proud of it.
The place was habitable at the time even though she lied to the Officers stating that she not only did not want me in her place she also lied that her place was not habitable. Carla jackson is the wrost human being i have ever encountered she should be told to the world i want everyone to hear this terrible story and what happened to me so that she does not do this to another person. It was so hot in the condo because carla jackson refused to have the air condition fixed. Her fridge also did not function the first 2 weeks I lived there I had to plead with her just to get that fixed. She got angry when I told her how hot the place was she acted like we should be grateful for heat just to live in her crummy shack.in the USA I am use to having plenty but in Nassau after this experience she truly gave me a THIRD WORLD EXPERIENCE AND A INHUMANE EXPERIENCE.
TELL THE WORLD & EVERYONE NEVER TO GO BACK TO NASSAU BAHAMAS BOYCOTT THE ISLAND MAYBE THEN BAHAMIANS WILL START RESPECTING THERE BREAD AND BUTTER WITHOUT TOURIST NASSAU AND THE BAHAMAS IS NOTHING THEY ARE TRULY THE RUDEST PEOPLE ON EARTH. I stayed at breezes, dorans all places are junk and you will get cussed out if you ask for good service. STINK ATTITUDES THAT SHOULD BE NASSAU'S NEW NAME DON'T VISIT SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEPLACE WHERE IT IS WORTH IT! I have to go to court against Carla & Curtis Jackson I also had to hire an attorney to represent me I am not going to spend another dime after reading constant reviews about how trashy Nassau and Bahamians are I will spread the word to the world because quite frankly Bahamians don't give a damn they feel tourist have to come. Don't go to this shit hole you will be robbed, possibly raped or killed. The crime rate is awful.
