Ripoff Changed itinerary cancelled reservation all with no notice sent me back to wrong airport!

I booked a last minute package on travelocity to visit my boyfriend before he deployed to Iraq. It was a great deal, and I was very happy — until I received an email requesting that I call travelocity because there was a problem with my flights.

I called, and after 20 minutes on hold I spoke to a representative with a thick accent who politely informed me that the flights I had purchased days before were not available. Being the skeptic that I am, I searched for flights on travelocity's website, and found the exact same flights still being advertised as available, albeit at a higher price. I told her that this whole thing was ridiculous and that she needed to check again. After the third time checking on my flights she miraculously was able to book the same flights I had previously purchased. I had only wasted about an hour of my time on the phone to figure that out.

Everything went smoothly until we got to the airport for my flight back to my house. I checked in, and was given a completely wong itinerary and boarding passes. I asked the airlines what was going on and showed them my printed itinerary from travelocity. They told me that they could change my flight to the one printed but it would cost me $150. No. They told me to call travelocity to work it out.

Again I was on the phone for over 20 minutes on hold, spoke to another rep for about 10 minutes, he also had a heavy indian accent, and he hung up on me because he could not operate the "hold" function, apparently. Not that he was listening to what I was saying anyways.

I called back and spoke with someone else who would not listen to me. She put me on hold three or four times, then argued with me about the itinerary I had in my hand, stating that what I was reading was not what had been sent. She put me on hold again, came back and told me that the airport they had decided to send me to was "not that far" from the airport I was supposed to go to, and gave me a promo code for $45 off my next travelocity reservation.

Needless to say, I am never booking with travelocity again, as their changes to my itinerary cost me over $70 extra in travelling home, extended my travel time by at least 4 hours, caused me a ton of stress, and forced me to use about HALF of my monthly cell phone minutes to get everything figured out. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone.
