Upon finding this site, I was practically falling out of my seat with laughter. I am a former "Cast Member" and am married to a current "Cast Member".
I must agree with the general public regarding Disney's treatment of not only employees, but consumers especially.
They dont care about anything except ben franklin!!!
I was only employed there a month, 2 weeks of it was training, due to the lung infection I developed after working on "Splash Mtn." and "Pirates Revenge". I urge anyone who is fed up with, or curious about THE TRAGIC KINGDOM aka: DISMAL LAND read the book "Mouse Tales: a behind the ears look..." (both 1 and 2). I'm sure many questions will be awnsered by them, at the very least, a VERY good laugh.
Regarding the commercials: If you ever decide to visit "THE CRAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH take a drive around the surrounding city. The one land they left out of DCA (Disney's Crappy misAdventure) was Ghettoland, but I'm sure if you drive 5 minutes in ANY direction away from the park you will find it, and hey hey! It's FREE!
Your best bet is to save your money, strip naked, and run down your street yelling obscenities until the police arrest you. Trust me it's waaaay cheaper to post bail. I'd even bet your local jail is less crowded, you get FREE meals, and your kids will learn about the justice system, which is nonexistent in "The Park".
In response to the posting by Delaware... Dude, you must be on some really F-ing good drugs to defend the mouse, I know I was. (While coughing up my lungs, blood and asbestos). I stopped showing up to work because of it, and they didn't even notice! I finally received a call (a month and a half later), from "THE SCHEDULING DEPT." asking if I would be returning to work. They didn't care that I had nearly died, (losing 15 Lbs.in a week). I finally did recover, but after some pretty hefty medical bills that somehow didn't qualify for workers comp. Oh, BTW, OSHA was no help, the mouse owns them too. Enough about me.
My wife is currently seeking other jobs, but "Der Feurer" [spelling? ] aka: the mouse, has its glove in almost everything in lovely "Disneyheim" so most avenues of employment are shot.
To anyone who is disillusioned and thinks D-Land is a good place to work, or spend $. May whatever spirit you beleive in have mercy on your soul (and wallet).
