A couple of weeks before christmas My girlfriend bought tickets that were unavailable at all travel agencies only to find them available on cheaptickets.com. It was a flight out of los angeles to vietnam with a layover in china. She tried to confirm the tickets but got tired of being on hold on the phone for more than an hour. She finally did leave los angeles international airport only to find out that her tickets were cancelled once she reached china. She had to stay at Guangzhou airport for hours and hours because she had no visa to leave the airport considering it was only a quick layover. They issued her another flight for "extra fees" to get on the next available flight. Her flight which was supposed to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam at 5:20pm arrived at midnight making her miss christmas with me.
Now its January 4th. Her flight on China Southern Airlines leaves January 5th friday so she can get back in time to work. She's a teacher and they start school January 8th. She went to the airline only to find out her tickets were cancelled! They stated that cheaptickets sold us tickets that were unavailable and already booked. Now the ticketing agency is trying to get her out in time even if she has to shell out more money to get her on the plane first class to make it out on time. The airline told us that the next available flight would be more than 2 weeks because this was a very busy month from southeast asia to los angeles, california. Now she is currently on a waiting list for who knows how long. Cheaptickets.com has ruined our vacation and may ruin her career. I have heard of a class action lawsuit against cheaptickets and we would like to be part of it if anyone can help us.
