We scheduled a reservation for a car in an emergency because of a death in the family. The car was not needed, and not picked up from the automobile rental. Priceline charged for it anyway, and said that they do not refund the money.
Being in business for many years, I know that you can reserve a car rental with most rental companies, and if your plans change, and you do not pick up the car you do not get charged for it.
This must be an excellent extra source of income for Priceline.com
I now have learned to never use them again!
