I was contacted by a company to attend a presentation. Seemed fair enough, they offered me a vacation package to come to attend their presentation, So I call look up the company on the internet to call them back because I needed directions. Ok. Fine. I see a rip off report and it concerns me so I ask the lady at the phone number listed United Vacation Network. Of course their was no physical address located anywhere in their website. But I asked to speak to the person who booked my appointment and was given a phone number to a GLOBAL ACCESS??? Ok. Again sounded funny to me. I ask the lady who answered the phone for directions and she didn't know but gave me the number to the hotel where they were staying at. Question? Why are they giving a presentation at a hotel? She couldn't answer. I asked about the usacomplaints.com and Was given over to a another girl. I asked her about the rip off report and was told she knew nothing about it. Well, if I worked for a company it would seem to me, that maybe I would know what they were doing and felt like she did know about it.
Me and my wife go to the presentation anyway because my curiosity at this point is killing me. So we get there and they put on all the bells and whistles for us. Trying everything known to man to get us to purchase a product. Well having the for knowledge of the rip off report before I went and... Of course the salesman who kept dropping the price to get me and my wife to join the exclusive "club" was rendered speechless when I told him I had looked at some internet travel sites right before coming and belived we had just been lied to and this was a fly by night operation... Why wasn't there a storefront etc., Well they promptly removed us from the area with all of the other victims.
Don't be taken in by this scam. Orbitz and Travelocity will get you the same deals. Ask them to show you on the internet right then and there how their deal beats the internet? They present it like a "Avon of Travel" when in fact their is no money to be made from this. If you want to join this call me first and just give me your money because that is all your doing is giving it away..
