I agree with you on the hotel. I also used to live in Escanaba and My boyfriend and I stayed there in March and the only reason we stayed there was because a band was playing that I know well and we decided that it would be a good idea to not drive and just stay there. Well, what a mistake that was. We got up to our room and it looked awful. The sheets / bedspread looked like they were from 1975. I looked on their website at the rooms and I did not see one of these rooms their. We had friends staying in another room and their were even worse. We got to our room and it smelled old and musty so we cracked the window. When we got up to the room at about 1am, the room was freezing and we froze all night. There was no heat coming from the register at all! I had to turn the shower on in the morning for some kindof heat. There is no one around at the hotel to call. At about 3am I woke up to some girl talking on her cell phone for about an hour. The walls were so thin, I could also hear the guy next door snoring all night. I believe that people are living there, nice hotel. We left as soon as we could (wanted the heat from the car) in the morning and I was going to tell them about the heat, no one there! No one to check us out, no one to say Good Morning and How was your stay? This place is terrible, don't go there!
