Like several others! I too was rip-off. I purchased 105,000 points from Fairfield Resorts at the Smoky Mt. Resorts. I questioned about getting reservations at the resorts where I have a so call deed. They assured me that if I call 2 to 3 months ahead there should be no problems. But we have only spent once at the resort. Note, we purchased it in 2003.
We have bought special 3-days vacation for a so call special price just to get in to talk to a representive. But that did help! It just made us mad and sorry we every heard of Fairfield Resorts. It makes me sick to think I purchased a vacation and someone else is enjoy our room. I have tried to be nice and understanding, but I am upset. Yes! I know people say you need to think and read up on timeshares. Well, we did and still got took.
I would be interested in any information on a class action law suit. I normally don't like law suits but I'm sick of been told that there is no openings when I call to make reservations. They shouldn't over sale! I have made a promise that I would tell everyone I come in touch with about how they have took my kids vacations. Meaning, we can't afford to go anywhere now.
