Horrible Service Nationwide

ATA's customer service is HORRIBLE and we will NEVER fly with them again. We arrived at the airport 4:00am for our flight scheduled to depart at 6:25am. We were told that the trip was delayed due to weather (other flights were leaving the airport and it was not even raining) and given no additional information until an hour later when we were told we were being put on an 11:40am flight.

During these many hours that we sat at the airport waiting, we noticed other ATA flights GOING TO THE SAME CITY leaving ON TIME.in other words, they preferred to make us wait 5 hours and the other customers not at all than shave some time off our wait and let the others have a short wait. Presumably because they knew no one on our flight would ever fly with them again and they didn't want to upset even more customers. BUT if all that isn't bad enough, THEY STILL WANTED TO CHARGE US $3 FOR PEANUTS!

After delaying us 5 hours while we watched others going to the same city leave on time, they couldn't even comp us a bag of peanuts. So what did we get for our trouble? NOTHING.in fact, when we advised them we were upset we were told, quote, "Our only obligation is to get you from Point A to Point B. That's it". What an attitude!!! Don't fly ata!
