Three years ago I sarted saving for our family to go to Hawaii. It was a Christmas and birthday gifts for all our family members. I checked E-Bay and Bearcountry Vacations listed a price that bid on and got 8 tickets. Everything seemed to be going well, I checked and we were even booked at the hotel in Hawaii and on the airline, but then everything fell apart. I recheck and our names were withdrawn from the hotel and the airline.
I e-mailed Pat Anderson, the president of Bearcountry Vacation and she used the excuss of not knowing what happened and that she was gone most of the time because her son fell of a horse and later died. Feeling sorry for her I let it go and she said she would rebook us. The next thing I find out is they are going banked rupt and would be dealing with their lawyers. I checked with bankruptcey fillings in Ca. And there have been none for them. I wrote to the consumer protection agency in Wi. And they refered my complaint to the California Consumer Protection Agency. They in turn refered it to the Attorney General. I also wrote to Irene Chavez, the attorny General and I have not gotten any response back as of yet. My cost to this scam is over $7700. A total rip-off.
