On May 25 I reserved a two night hotel stay at the Mcintosh Inn using Orbitz. The reservation stated that if I called to cancel before 4:00 pm the day of stay, I would not be charged for the cancellation.
At 3:30 the day of our first night stay, my wife called to cancel the reservation because our travel plans have changed. The hotel manager, Andy, told her that there was no reservation recorded, and we wouldn't be charged.
On may 31 I discovered a charge of $85.50 to my credit card. I called Andy, and he claimed that when we called, there was no reservation, but the reservation must have come in later. I do not believe this is true, but even if the reservation did come in later, Andy knew we wanted to cancel but still charged us.
He refuses to refund it even though we did not stay at his hotel and DID call to cancel before 4 pm.
If you travel to this area, do yourself a favor - STAY AWAY FROM MCINTOSH INN.
