Ramada Plaza Resorts
Ripoff dishonest fraudulent misrepresented illegal solicitation

On April 22, I received the voucher from Ramada Plaza Resorts offering $1600 for a dream vacation in Florida. I called, and before I knew what I was doing I had signed up for it (I am sure this part of the story is familiar to many)

By the end of that day, I had come to my senses, and after checking several websites I decided to contact customer service the next day. As it was Sunday, I decided the least I could do was leave a message, since I was told that the customer service hours were only Monday through Friday. As it turned out, it was lucky for me to call on that Sunday, since they do work on the weekends from 10AM to 4PM, and I was able to cancel my request before it was processed. I also faxed the company, and sent a certified letter to Daniel — , Ramada Plaza Resorts, 2419 E. Commercial Blvd. Fort Lauderdale FL 33308, detailing my request for cancellation, as well as quoting the law which states that I have full right to cancel my trip within 30 days of purchase. I did receive my money back two days ago.

Although I have received my refund, I am appalled by the amount of people who are not so fortunate. I am also appalled by the fact that these people use these dirty and at times illegal tactics to get money.in addition to contacting them and getting my money back, I have also written to Carnival Cruise Lines, asking that they no longer do business with RPR, and I plan to write to other companies which are involved with this scam. I urge everyone who has been ripped off to do the same.

I am also open to helping anyone who is considering taking legal action that would serve to force RPR to behave in an honest manner (not misrepresenting the package, letting people know the true price of the package, being open with all the extra costs and upgrade costs, stating clearly that this is a Time Share deal, etc) and that would stop them from sending "vouchers" to people.
