My sister in law received this offer and as a struggling college student. I thought a way to take a great vacation for a low price.
She called and they told her all these great things and free food, cruise, tickets. IT sonded wonderful. They asked for a card number and said they would not charge until they got MY authorization. They DID NOT get it from me as I never talked to them, and while she was still talking to them, I tried to find their company on the net, to be on the safe side.
What I got wasn't any website but this one telling me how many people are actually getting conned. Right away, I told her to tell them "NO". They transferred her back to the "manager" and he asked why. She told him we changed our mine and that there were a lot of bad publicity. He said that it was normal to have that and that it was okay, it wasn't a scam.
That's when I went to my online banking and checked my account. They have already charge me $698 without my authorization and they haven't even hung up on her yet. My sister in law mention this to him. He said it was to "hold" our place and that if it really was a scam he would of hung up after getting the card number.
He got increasingly angry and basically started calling my siter a liar and when she tried to calm him down, he refused to be calm. She asked him why he is getting so angry about losing a customer when this "dream" vacation is so perfect for everyone else. There must be thousands of people everywhere who wants it, we just don't want to take the risk. He didn't say anything and eventually, I think he hung up on us after telling us that sure, we can get a refund it will take a 3 days.
I don't believe that bullsh*. I'm going to my bank and getting them to try to do something about this. I never talked to them, I didn't authorize it. They had no right to take my money from my account.
