Mini Vacations, MVI / Global Escapes SCAM
Like the thousands of reports filed already within the last month, I also was scammed out of a free trip through MVI Marketing / Mini Vacations / Grand Incentives or whatever they call themselves now. I won the vacation package through Global-Escapes - a Minnesota company. The trip was simple, I could choose from a handful of destinations (I chose Las Vegas) and then sent in my $100 refundable deposit ($50 per traveler). After sending in my final paperwork, I received a rather unpleasant call - FedEx stating that the company I had shipped the package to, was out of business.
I am interested in the joining a class action lawsuit and would like to suggest that we should go on the offense as soon as possible. I suggest we also go at the companies Mini Vacations works with. Many complaints mentioned that the company still somewhat exists under a different entity (Grand Incentives) and still has a client list of businesses they used under MVI. I think those corporations should be held accountable in addition to MVI.
For example, Global-Escapes is a Minnesota company that I was duped through. I will add them to the consumer complaints list along with any other company involved with MVI. Another couple that was at the MVI / Global Escapes seminar won their trip through Menards. Menards will also be included in this complaint. I expect either MVI or one of these other corporations rights the wrong done by MVI.
I want my refund and all costs for shipping given back to me, plain and simple.
