Ms. Hopper, Nashville Property Horrible, emotionally abusive, and manipulative treatment Ripoff

Beware, beware, beware! That's all I can say about this property and their sales presentation. I went to one of them with my fiance intending to learn more about their properties and offerings, and at first all seemed to go well. Our sales associate was new (4 months into the program—Ms. Hopper) and asked the same questions over and over again (what is your idea vacation? Where would you like to go? What are your goals for a vacation?), attempting to take up the one hour she was supposed to spend "getting to know" us. We discussed potential wedding plans with her, told her about our lives, etc., attempting to really give this thing a try. She seemed to be a genuinely nice person, finding moments to bond with us and, as any good salesperson would, found things in common. She then ran some figures with us (though they were a tad bogus and inflated), showed us a presentation of other locations, and took us on a tour of the facilities. All seemingly was still going well, and except for the overly repetitive questions and her "newness, " it was relatively painful. The first sign that something was wrong was when my fiance noted that he subscribed to Dave Ramsey's principles (financial peace - -paying with cash, not using credit cards, etc.). She noted that she had seen other Dave Ramsey followers, and not one of them had decided against buying a timeshare. DING! Incorrect answer. Any true Dave Ramsey listener would know that Dave does not recommend going into debt for anything other than a home mortgage, and that timeshares are not something that he'd recommend — especially not going into debt to get one. She then went on to cite incorrect facts and figures about Dave (he has 6 vacation homes, all of them with mortgages), and we knew that she was lying. My fiance politely disagreed with her and said that he knew that was not correct. She was not pleased, but continued giving us the same line. She then took us into the sales center and proceeded to become VERY high pressure with us. When we told her that this just wasn't a good idea for us at the time (that we'd rather spend the money on a HOME than a timeshare), she honestly attempted to convince us that this, too, was a home because we would get a deed! She further said that Dave Ramsey would approve of this because he only wants you to go into debt for a home, which this is! Crazy! She continued to pressure us, and we finally said no, that we wanted to start off our lives together right. She made fun of us for renting our current apartments when we could "OWN" a timeshare/home, and then proceeded to shove her chair backward and say, "Well, I hope you all make it, but I don't really think you will. You (pointing to my fiance) are a tightwad and you (pointing to me) are exhausted. Do you know what the top two causes for divorce are? Financial problems and lack of romance! Good luck—you'll need it." WHAT??? So because we are debt-free we have financial problems, and how in the heck does she have any right questioning our romance and suggesting, RIGHT BEFORE OUR WEDDING, that we would be divorcing because we didn't buy a timeshare! I was floored and immediately started crying. You don't tell this to a bride-to-be right before the wedding. All the information that she found out about us she used against us to drive doubt and hurt between us. Then she had the nerve to send someone over for us to evaluate the presentation. I cried throughout the entire evaluation and my fiancee just sat there stunned. The first question was, "Did you enjoy your presentation today" — and the poor evaluation person didn't even try to go further down the list after she heard what we had to say. BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE — she tried to tell us that this person was not representative of her company, but that's not true — by hiring her and allowing her to do this to people, they put her face to this company and she represents them. Yes, we expected a hard sales pitch (even though we were promised — in writing — that it would not be high-pressure and that we would be treated with respect, and we still have the card that promises this, and the treatment is documented by the evaluation), but we did not expect nor did we deserve this.
