Royal Holiday is a ripoff. If you do a little research, you'll easily find better deals. If you still want more convincing, check out eBay where you can find Royal Holiday points for a fraction of the cost.
My husband and I signed up for this vacation club and two days later canceled, giving a written notice in person, well within the 7 days alloted on the contract. I just found out my credit card was still charged, FOUR times, beginning 6 days AFTER we canceled. One of the fees, a $910.00 fee, was TRIPLE charged. I never signed any credit slip for 3 X $910.00 The total charges came to almost $5,000.
The contract I have shows a much lesser amount of payment. The time frame for reimbursement after cancellation has passed (both the 20 days after they receive cancellation notice, or 5 days after receipt of payment, whichever is later, as stated in the contract). I called their customer service, and the rep. Confirmed the cancellation dates. That's all she could do. I asked why my credit card was triple-charged the same fee. All she could do was tell me that the computer showed the total charges (almost $5,000), which was the down payment. She told me I should see a refund in a week or two. I'll believe it when I see it. Remember, the time allotted on the contract for the refund has already passed. I am filing a dispute w / my credit card company. We'll see what happens.
