Ripoff Vacation, No Refund, Ft. Lauderdale-Bahamas Cruise - HUGE SCAM!

We had been receiving faxes to our office about vacation specials for awhile, although I never considered purchasing one until recently. I called to inquire about a vacation for 3 days in Ft. Lauderdale, 4 days in Orlando, and a Bahama cruise and became interested. Obviously, it sounded to good to be true; however I thought I did a good job at asking questions to try and see what the "catch" was. Well, she told me that I would have to sit through a minimum of 90 minute presentation, but that was IT! So, I agreed to go for it. STUPID me! I searched the internet to find information on this company and much to my disappointment I found out it was a scam! Thanks to this website, I realized I needed to try and get a refund. I found out this company has operated under several different names, mainly because they keep getting shut down.

I called my bank and asked what I should do and was told to cancel my card immediately and the charge wouldn't go through. Well, I just called to ensure the charge was not made and they told me it went through for $448! The lady I spoke with today said that what I was told before was not true, and that my card wasn't even cancelled like they said it would be. She said that I should be able to win this dispute, which I sure hope is true! I was so excited when the woman told me the charge wouldn't go through since my card was blocked, and I think I should be able to get a refund since I was told something different.

So, the bank is submitting a dispute to the company and said it would take 10 business days. All I want is my money back. Now, I cannot make reservations with my boyfriend to take the vacation we had planned for August 8th, because I am not sure whether I will get my refund. This just does seem fair. I called the company a few minutes ago and asked once again for them to refund my money and they said there was nothing they could do. This is crap! I will be searching for a lawyer to help me out, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

It really makes me sick to know that people are greedy enough to make money off of people by promising them amazing vacations and giving them vacations from hell! I am only 22 years old, and definitely could not afford a real expensive vacation, but thought this might be a good way to go on a trip to relieve my stress and celebrate my graduation. I just need someone who may have dealt with this same situation to give me a suggestion.

Please help!
