I have purchased a Time Share in 1988 while I was on vacation in Acapulco, Mexico. The Company is called Imperial Inernational Vacation Club. Later other names showed up, like Prisma Resort Services, Vacation World and Bay View Club. I paid for one floading week per year at the Maris Hotel in Acapulco, for 30 years, expiring Feb. 1st 2017. Woodhaven Ltd, a California Company, was at that time the owner of Memberships of Imperial International Vacation Club.
I have always paid my yearly Maintenance fees and also yearly Membership in RCI for Space Bank Deposits for extra accumulated weeks. I have up to now used my Time Share 5 times since 1989.
In Summer 2004 I booked a week with Imperial International Vacation Club at the Maris Hotel in Acapulco for Jan. 2005. At the same time I also booked a week with RCI from the Space Bank deposit. I received a confirmation from both companies.
Late December I received a phone call from RCI informing me that the Maris Hotel in Acapulco has been sold and will no longer be part of time share. RCI booked me into the El Presidente Hotel for that week, which was fine with me.
Right away I contacted Imp.intern. Vacation Club by Phone and by fax more than a dozen times for my week, to no avail. Either the phone was busy, was disconnected, or the few times I got someone live, they took a message, which they never responded to. I then in turn phoned the Maris Hotel and ask them about the Time Share situation. I was informed, no more Time Share. Then I phoned the El Presidente and ask if the Vacation Club has made a Reservation for me for the week they owned me. I was told, no reservation. I travelled to Acapulco on a two week Ticket with only one week from RCI. Imper.intern Vacation Club never gave me the other week until that time and has not informed me up todate about that there is no more Time Share at the Maris Hotel.
When I arrived at the El Presidente I talked to the Manager and ask them if there could contact the Vacation Club, and get the other week. First she was reluctant, but after I told her, that I would move to another Hotel in a weeks time, she contacted a Phone # in Mecico City and I got my second week. Since the last 4 month I have tried to contact this Company by phone, but to no avail. I contacted the BBB in San Antonio TX and they told me the tel. # are not valid and there are no such companies in S.A.
