I manage a hotel in Chattanooga, Tennessee and we did business with American Voyager one year ago to date exactly. They had several overnight rooms with us and held a travel show at a nearby hotel. Beth Cochran was in charge of these arrangements and was responsible for collecting payment from her home office to pay the hotel bill.
This group ran up a hotel bill of over $10,000 and we collected $6000 before the group departed. Since then, in trying to collect this outstanding balance, I have dealt with at least 4 different individuals and they all have a different story. The latest story I received was from a Mr. Tom Sims, in January when on the rare occassion that he either returned my phone call of I didn't go directly to his voice mail. He stated that American Voyager wasn't making any money and that as soon as their business picked up in the Spring, we would get our money.
It is now June and they still haven't made any attempt to pay their $4418.44 debt. Reputable company? I think not.
