Complaint / Review
Agents Travel Network, TeliFlex
Ripoff

Boy am I glad I happened on your site. I have been trying for months to contact this TeiFlex company to bo avail. I have to say they are pretty slick in their methods. It appears that these companies work together in their little scams.

I was contacted by Agents travel network for a free trial, of course like anyone else if it's free how can I get burned? As I accepted the free trial they then asked me if I would be interested in trying a free long distance card. Again how could I get burned for free? What I didn't know is it was a different company and to cancel I had to make a phone call seperate to that company. I got all my travel coupons in the mail some days later, I also got my phone cards. (2) I called and canceled my free vacation package but seen my account was checked 149.95. I called the company Agents Travel Network and asked why, their reply was I canceled on the day they started to bill me. I find that a little hoaky but I'll chaulk it up as a lessoned learned.

My problem with the whole deal is when I tried to call them prior they have a phone system that recognizes your phone number and takes you thru a voice prompted system. When you select cancel it boots you off the system. I tried to call back to verify my cancelation but the system would not take my call from my number. I figured out what was happening and switched to another phone line in my office Wow I got thru! Once the system recognized the account I was trying to verify it kicked me off again.

I finally used my cell phone to contact the company and instead of canceling I chose the option to speak with a representative. What a joke this guy was, I questioned why was I charged the 149.95 and that's when I got the answer " you canceled the same day we were to start billing" Not true. The billing was to start the next day after the trial ended.

Well I was out 149.95 and thought, that's what I get for even dealing with these people, lesson learned it's over. Not so fast! I started to see deductions of 49.95 out of my checking account. I order a lot of things online and thought maybe I over looked something. NOT! Remember when they asked me if I wanted a free unlimited long distance card? Well I already canceled all of this. No I did not! I canceled the free vacation package that at 149.95, the long distance card was a totally seperate company. Not a good thing because all the paper work associated with these people I threw away because I canceled it.

For 4 months I've been looking for TeliFlex to no avail until today when I started my search again thru google and found the rip off story that sounded all too familiar. Don't ever think it can't happen to you. I'm a Marine 1stSgt with 22 years of helping young Marines get out of scams that the town we're in is infested with and on the web. They got me, and more than once. I will make it a point to let all the Marines of this command know about this website. We may not be able to stop them but we sure can expose them. Thanks...
