Walt Dodge & Wyndham Resorts
WyndhamVR Oceanside Pier Resort Fradulent and deceptive sales tactics, misrepresentation, and misleading

As a Wyndham member, we were used to the customary "member updates" but went anyway. Mr. Walt, the P.O.W. And former educator, was there to greet us. Walt basically skated through a quickie survey which basically provided him with all the tools he needed to mold our needs to his sale. After the sales pitch about our maintenance fees going up in Hawaii would freeze if we upgraded to Club Wyndham Plus, that we could basically pay for the maintenance fees with a couple of rentals—rentals he would personally help us with—and how upgrading to 500,000 points would really be a sound investment, I told Walt there was no way we would qualify. But wait a minute, Walt knows of a special going on that

Day. I'm telling you, these people put you in a pressure cooker, so much so your head spins. Walt comes back and says we can do it—all we need are these two nifty and matching RCI Mastercharge Credit Card accounts with low, low interest (found out it was a promotion 12 months later when the payments

Doubled and were never mentioned in closing).

After our vacation, we called on Walt time and time again to provide us with all the insider help that he promised during the sale. Every time we were required to leave a message on his phone; twice my wife contacted him live and he accidently gave us the same excuse for not calling back: "my grandchild dropped my phone in the pool." He tried to give me the same and I told him he needed to stop giving the phone to the kid or come up with a new excuse.

So here we are now, in more debt than ever, maxed out our personal credit and paying exorbitant level of interest on the "promotional" cards and ready to just quit paying everything. And to top it off, we've been paying so much for this service that we cannot even afford the trip to the resort. If anything good comes of this, I hope others can see to not do the timeshare pipe dream. They make it all peachy, but it is rotten to the core. There is much more behind this product than meets the eye; I've only mentioned the fraudulent sales tactics. I understand that Mr. Dodge—some people's name just fits their occupation—is working at Fountain Valley Monarch.

We have brought this to Wyndhams main office and told them we wanted out of this and of course they didnt care. They simply forwarded paperwork for a sales offer they knew I would never find. If anyone knows of a legitimate course of action to make this all go away, I would love to hear it. Thus far Ive discovered that there are a lot of vultures out there and that many of them are in bed with Wyndham themselves, trying to suck more cash out of people who dont have it. Don't go there and avoid Walt "the dodger" Dodge.
