I lost internet service on 6/6. When I called DirecPath to report the problem, I was told that there was a technician handling the issue since my entire building was without internet. On 6/8 I was still without internet. When I called DirecPath, the customer service rep said that the ticket had been closed since the issue was resolved. She said that since I was still without internet I could schedule a service call, but a technician would not be available until 6/28. When I complained, the rep said that I would not be billed for service between 6/6 and the time that the repair was effected. Since I telecommute, I cancelled service since I need internet 24/7. My Clear moden arrived the next day. Each month I have received a bill for June plus late fees. I have called customer service and spoken with various "supervisors" to resolve the issue. I have also written DirecPath corporate in Atlanta. I do not see why I should have to pay for a service I did not receive because of incompetent technicians. On 11/11, DirecPath disconnected my satellite service through DirecTV. I pay DirecTV each month for my service, not DirecPath. DirecTV explained that DirecPath is a subcontractor that installs and maintains the satellite equipment only. Since the property I live at contracts with DirecPath, DirecTV could not install a dish for me. DirecPath obviously believes that being a monopoly at a property gives them the license to screw the consumer. Please think twice before moving onto a property where DirecPath is the only option for internet and DirecTV.
