Once Again, ProForm has let the consumer down. My brother and I both purchased a couple of their higher end Elliptical machines, and within a month both had broken down. My brother's machine initially just needed replacement parts, but within 6 weeks was a total loss. My frame of my elliptical, which is supposed to have a lifetime warranty broke within 3 weeks of use. These machines are obviously not built for regular use and we are both well within the weight limits of the machines.
Even after submitting pictures of the damage as well as purchase receipts... Weeks pass with no help at all from Icon Fitness or ProForm. They are a total ripoff, and don't even stick to their warranties. Their business model must be based on the fact that most consumers will barely use their equipment, and if they ignore the ones that do long enough, a lot of them will lose the desire to even get a refund.
ProForm is a terrible company, and ICON Health and Fitness will not help you fix any problems with your equipment. BUYER BEWARE!!! If at least one person reads this and decides against a ProForm workout machine, then at least I will be happy knowing I could save one person the money, problems, and heartache I have had to experience for giving them a try.
