Wanderlust Outdoor Gear is owned and operated by a man named Kurt Russell. He custom designs, and makes ultra-light backpacking tents. Each tent is made to order, and the buisness is strictly mail order through his website.
I ordered a tent from Mr. Russell in Oct. 2003. I prepaid in full to the ammount of $285.00. I allowed a full six months for delivery, which is what his site suggests the time frame will be due to high demand.
I finally became concerned after the 7th month. I attempted to call his phone #, only to dicover it was disconnected. I have since tried email, writing letters... All go ignored.
At this point, it has been a full 9 months since Mr. Russel cashed my check, and apparently vanished. His website is still up and running. I would advise anyone thinking of ordering one of his tents to look elswhere.
