Having been a member since 6/05 and having spent 1 1/2 yrs as a volunteer doing maintenance work there trying to improve the campground for the other members and myself under several different managers, all to their satisfaction.
I requested that I be put on payroll so as to be compensated for the technician work I was being requested to do, this request was denied and I quit being a volunteer at the campground.
During the time I was a volunteer I had made many statements to mgr. That there were many thing that weren't done and that the resort was going down hill (as others have posted on this site) and other members were repeatedly asking why these things were not fixed, to which I replied the owners don't want to spend the money as I was told by these same mangers.
It would appear that the owners of CHERRY VALLEY LAKES RESORT can't handle the truth, or they don't want it to be told. Because last Sunday, even though I had a reservation for my 2 week stay when I arrived to check in I was meet by the "NEW" management team, and was handed a letter addressed from Randy Wright of Emerald Cove Resort and told that I was "BANDED" from "ALL" C R A resorts as a member or as a guest.
In the envelope was a check for most all the money I had invested in this resort time share $5,457.50 but nothing explaining as to why they were taking this action, nor was there ever any E - mail or letter from Randy Wright or any of the other owners explaining their action. When I asked why of the "NEW" managers they said they didn't know?
After seeing for my self how the owners of this resort time share operate I can only say one thing. Thank God I am out of their contract and as a bonus I will not have to file a suit against them for them breaching their contract by not maintaining their resort to the 5 star standard as they stated in their original presentation to get my investment back. As my title state " FREE AT LAST". Buyer Beware!
