Hi everybody!
Buyer beware at Davie Marine in Davie, Florida!
I took my boat motor in 3 months ago for a low RPM "stuttering" problem on my Yamaha 225 four stroke. First, they said it was the booster pump...$600. That didn't fix it. Then it was the high pressure pump...$1000... That didn't fix it. Then, after keeping my boat for 2 1/2 months, they said it was the idle adjuster... And that was it. Mis diagnosis, no expertise, guessing and now they have just swiped my card for over $2000 on a $250 piece.
Buyer beware of padding the bill at Davie Marine. Parts, and the parts manager, Mario, are assessing charges very quietly and hoping no one notices. They made a mistake on how they worked on my boat and I caught them adding $1600 to the bill. Now I have the legal problem tryin g to get my money back.
Don't fall for the same trick!
