Red Back Gaming Pty Ltd Trading As Fortune-100
Fortune-100 Made seemingly unfounded promises as to performance of race betting computer programme purchased by me Varsity Lakes, Gold Coast Queensland

When at Maroochydore in Queensland in August this year my wife and I went shopping at the Sunshire Plaza complex. While there we saw a stand set up inside the centre demonstrating a computer based race betting system known as Fortune-100. We were approached by a person from Fortune-100 and given a sales pitch on the merits and success of the system. We were advised that it was not a get rich scheme but a means to generate additional income of $500 to $1000 per week consistently. We left our name and contact phone numbers.

We live in another state and before we arrived home received a number of telephone calls offering more details. We asked that sales person (Simon) wait until we returned home.

After arriving home we were offered a trial of the programme on our home computer. These trials lasted only about 25 minutes each time we requested another trial. A person from Fortune-100 sometimes spoke to us on the telephone during these "live" trials. We were told we could ring any time on the 1300 number to make arrangement for more "lessons" with our trainer Paul.

We were advised to keep a record of the results to prove how accurate the system was. We did this and the results were good.

We were still a bit apprehensive but were then offered the names of people who were already using the system and were doing well. We contacted these people. One, a lady, said she was a housewife with small children 3 and 5 who said she spent about an hour each day on the system and was winning an average of $200 per day and had been doing so since November.

Fortune-100 said the price of the programme was $20,000 and included a laptop computer. They also offered to pay for me to fly to the Gold Coast, pay for one night's accommodation and the cost of a rental car... After I had paid a deposit of $2,000.

The long and the short of it is that I/we went ahead with this. On arrival at their premises I was given about one hour of training each day over two days.

Unfortunately I then paid the balance of the programme cost, i.E. $18,000 less the cost of airfare, accommodation and car hire.

We were advised to "paper trade" for a couple of weeks to get used to the system before opening an account with UniTab and to talk to Paul about results. If things were not going well we were told we were not adhering to the pre-bet criteria.

We did open an account with UniTab and deposited the amount advised by Fortune-100.

From the day we opened the account there has been only ONE day when a positive result was achieved. Still we were told we must not be adhering to the criteria.

Yes, it does pick winners. However the percentage returns are so small that if we have three or four wins and then one loss we are behind.

I have attempted to contact the people whose names were given to me as happy purchasers since purchasing the programme, but with no success. There is simply no answer.

On 18 November I sent an email to Paul giving him the results of the previous Saturday's results (a loss again of course) and advising him of my attempts to contact the people given as references. To date I have not had a response from him.

I have managed to contact two people after searching various sites on the computer, and their stories are a reflection of our own.
