On May 1st I went to my local fishing supply store to purchase a battery, I have been doing business there for 6 years (and 2 owners), the current owner and and another employee were working the shop that day installing new register software, usually its just an employee.
I walked in and informed them I needed a marine battery for my boat as mine was having problems starting the engine, the employee walked me over to your very nice display and I picked out a 79.00 model just a step up from the starter size, we took that to the register and began to ring up. The owner interrupted and told him I didn't need that much power for my 19" Boat and to get me a starter (Nautilus ENC24 Marine battery) I reminded him I ran some electronics such as a depth/fish finder while drift fishing and he said it would be fine. I thanked him for watching out for me and paid.
My friend Jim was with me during the purchase and thought I got a good deal. They were very helpful
We went back to the boat and guess what? Not enough power! I turn on the blower & try to start the boat and it takes several tries to start, I'm afraid to go out.
I like to run a fish/depth finder while I drift fish but am worried the battery power will not be enough and I will get stuck
I called the marina today, 3 days after the purchase and discussed upgrading to the original choice with the employee, He quickly returned my call to tell me in the end I chose it and since I had hooked it to the boat I was stuck with it. I understood it to have a guarantee but now I'm stuck with it? I tried to buy the more powerful battery and he talked me out of it, I'm angry
