I took a membership with Bally Total Fitness sometime in mid of 2001. I asked for a membership for one month, and was told by the sale rep that, it's not possible and he convinced me to take it for 3 months in the beginning and said after t his, it would become month-month. I agreed upon the deal. Then, I had to sign a form (pretty big one) which was pretty confusing.
I kept going to the gim for 5 months, then wanted to discontinue it. But, they didn't let me do it. When I spoke with the manager (somewhere in the East Coast), he said I have signed a contract for 3 years and there is no way I can cancel it.in the mean time I relocated to a different place and it was impossible for me to go to the gym. So, I spoke with the manager couple more time for cancellation, but he never responded. Then, I stopped payment. I got a recent Credit history Report and it's all screwed up.
Can anybody help me on this.
