If you are reading this (sent by me) it is my hope you continue the email thrashing through your email contacts;Here are my issues-
1. I buy/bought for my new, off the lot truck, from Midwest Wheel of Clear Lake, Iowa, a retractable truck bed cover, brand not an issue, but does contribute to overall problem.
2. I return to store after "qualified employee" installs bed cover but I find bed cover leaks water into protected bed after rain.
3. After "qualified employee" caulks and shows me notice from manufacture that this has been noted with my vehicle type to be an issue, I assume all is now OK.
4. (Day or two) MORE water is being seen inside truck bed and I return yet again this time to have the retractable cover mfg. Send a added piece to stop the flow of water inside truck bed. NOW I assume all is OK.
5. Between first install and second visit I wash my truck and complete wipe down truck top to bottom. (OH I forgot to mention my truck is off the lot NEW and this is it's first washing)
6. Within a few days I then proceed to wash truck for it's second time ever being washed by me, {which is a day or two after final visit where Midwest Wheel had my vehicle in there shop to add that extra piece of equipment to prevent water from getting inside my truck bed.} During complete wipe down of my new, off the lot truck, I find a dent in the roof of my truck. This dent was not there prior to getting truck to midwest wheel to have part installed on retractable bed cover. I went to mgmt. And his request was that I was to get estimation from his recommended repair shop, (I had gone to another repair shop to show mgmt. What was there estimation and thoughts to what caused the dent, the repair shop's thought? Somebody sat on roof or laid something heavy down on it) The other repair shop's estimation was a difference of 40 to 60 dollars and there thought was also that somebody sat on roof or laid something heavy on it. Today 11/26, mgmt. Of MIDWEST WHEEL OF CLEAR LAKE IOWA calls me while I'm at work to say they will not address this issue and they do not think it happened while in there shop or under there care... What do I think? I think these weasels are cheap bastards that don't give a shit about customers. I cannot prove this dent was caused by any one person but I can say that dent is there now and it wasn't there before I took it to MIDWEST WHEEL OF CLEAR LAKE IOWA. I am left to fix this dent on my new, off the lot... DID I MENTION NEW TRUCK, out of my pocket. I am looking at small claims but so far it isn't looking good, due to there requirements to proceed and extra money I need to pay out to get started (and) talking to my own lawyer, he also agrees it could be hard to prove. So with the added help of the internet i am going on a campaign to inform people that midwest wheel, clear lake iowa is dishonest and will not address there mistakes. Midwest wheel of clear lake iowa, sonofabitch's i hope you will get yours in the end!
