On November 19th I decided to subscibe to an internet dating site which operates under the name of Maturedating.com, I looked at the type of subscriptions that there were and decided on a 6 month subscription at 9.99 per month for a total of 59.94. I was under the assumption that I my bank account would be debited the 9.99 per month, with the first installation being taken out of my account last night. When I checked my bank account later I was suprised to see that the whole amount of 59.99 was taken out. I quickly called the "support desk" and was told that I would have to e-mail Cupic.com and ask for my refund. I decided to wait and call back to their office this morning, which I did and was told that they would forward my request to the appropriate department and that I would here back from them within 24 hours.
When I returned home after work on November 20th and opened my e-mails I found an e-mail from the company stating that they would not be refunding any or all my money and that as compensation they would give me an additional 6 months for free. I called the "support desk" again only to be told that if I did not like the answer that I had received in my e-mail then I should contact them again asking for a refund.
They are just giving me the run around and laughing all the way to the bank. They do state on their home page that you can cancel your subsciption at anytime but what they do not make clear is that what they actually mean is that they will not take the next installment of 59.99 out of your account at the end of the first subsciption but that you will have to keep the original subscription till it runs out.
