Andrea Santean currently in Palm Springs, CA is a major ripoff artist. This women is representing herself to be an actress, director and writer and is currently in the process of producing a new reality TV series of which naturally she is starring in.
We became aware of her in December when we delivered a marmoset monkey to her from a breeder in Florida. We were again hired by Andrea in June to transport a black and white Capuchin Monkey and 2 Yorkshire Terrier puppies from a young military woman in Ohio that was being deployed. These animals were given to Andrea as the owner was promised that they were to be featured in her new reality series. Private owership of any primates is not legal in California and we were guaranteed a copy of her permit which we have not received.
Services were performed in June driving these 3 animals from Ohio to her home in Palm Springs, CA. As of today we have not been paid nor received the permit. We tried dealing directly with Andrea on collections at no avail and on September 6th filed a small claim against her in California. She was a no show at court and are now awarded a judgement for $1,365.00 plus $80 filing fees.
While in California for our court date we did take the opportunity to spend time researching this women and have since learned she is well known for these fradulent claims of being a producer/actress and writer. She is
still contacting monkey breeders througout the United States (of which have kept us informed of her relentless calls to them) with the same story of featuring them in "People and their Pets" a reality TV series to be on the OWN network. We have also learned she is reselling them. And Now a new reality series "Andrea and the Kids". We have also learned she has victimized several in the Palm Springs and surrounding area for free professional services (a beauty salon and physician) to just name a few, with the same promise of being featured in her reality show.
It's time to Expose her for what she really is and spread the word so that no one else falls victim to her dishonest practices for profit
