Stated they needed my checking account number to cancel, then charged my account

This company (last year) originally offered a $100 Walmart gift card if I answered a survey online. The survey took forever. Then, someone called to request I answer the "remainder" of the survey. Took forever. At the end of the conversation, the representative said to "defray" the costs of the survey, would I like to have a choice of magazines, I replied yes. However, I did not authorize further payment. After I checked the link to see what I would be receiving from Walmart to use the $100. Walmart was no where to be found on the list of offers.

As a matter of fact, nothing in Plattsburgh, NY where I reside was offered. Most of the restaurants and stores are not even located in Plattsburgh. Okay, come a few days ago: Someone called from a number that no longer works (I tried this morning after reviewing my checking account online), and informed me that to cancel the magazines for this year, they needed my credit card number. Stupid Me! Gave it to them, and now there is a charge of $59.90 on my current debit card, plus a $5.00 fee for... Forgive me, I don't know what for! I'm furious, and besides this annoying political campaign, I'm ready to hit somebody. Thank you for your time and consideration to this matter.
