The charges appearing on your local phone bills, billed by OAN Services for Telseven LLC is shady in the least, although legal. When someone dials a phone number and gets a message to call One Zero One Zero Two Seven Five then 555-1212, (notice they don't say TEN TEN 275) you will be billed 4.33 per call, plus a Carrier Assessed - Admin Fee of 1.65, plus taxes, resulting in the call for a regular DA call costing over $6.00.
If you receive such a call on your phone bill, dispute the charge by calling OAN, then have them put a BLOCK on your line (s) for 10-10-275 to prevent this from happening in the future. This will not prevent someone from dialing 10-10-XXX, it only prevents calls being made to 10-10-275.
Although the number on your bill will appear as 702-555-1212, in fact someone is dialing 10-10-275-555-1212. Trust me, soon enough there will be other 10-10-XXX numbers doing the same thing so beware and look at your telephone bill every month.
Some local phone companies offer 10-10 blocking, but there is usually a monthly charge related to that which doesn't make it cost effective.
